Big Fjord, Little Auks, Scoresbysund 2003

Winner in the category "Wild Places" in BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2009. The image "Big fjord, little auks" is photographed in Scoresbys Fjord in Northeast Greenland. The motif of the winning photo is a bunch of flying auks (one starlings-large, arctic auk), with massive icebergs that are embraced by a rolling fog in the background.
